  • Jennifer Aniston was once a “terrible waitress” just like her “Friends” character Rachel Green. 
  • “I had slippery fingers, that was the problem,” Aniston said during her first-ever appearance for “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” on Tuesday.
  • The star, who’s currently promoting her Apple TV+ show “The Morning Show,” told Colbert she waitressed for just over two years at the now-closed Jackson Hole Hamburgers on the Upper West Side in New York City. 
  • Despite Aniston saying she always “dropped plates and tripped,” her former employer now calls her a “proud member of the Jackson Hole Hamburger community.” 
  • The 50-year-old says she now “appreciates good service” and “tips very very well,” having worked as a waitress.

Jennifer Aniston admitted she was once a “terrible waitress” just like Rachel Green during her first few years acting in New York City.

In her first-ever appearance on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” on Tuesday, the “Friends” actress said she used to work for the now-closed Jackson Hole Hamburgers on the Upper West Side. 

“Did you work the Sunday brunches there? Because they’re like the fall of Saigon. Like you can’t believe how unbelievably crowded it is there!” Colbert asked.

“I know, the lines! I was a terrible waitress. I was a hostess and then they finally allowed me to be a waitress,” Aniston replied.

Aniston said she also scored her first screen job playing a waitress in a Bob’s Big Boy commercial.

“I had slippery fingers as a waitress was the problem,” Aniston recalled of her time in the hospitality industry.
